Peter Whatson
BA, LLB, GDLP
Peter is a ‘generalist’ lawyer with decades of experience in both private and public sector practice. He has worked for some of Adelaide’s premiere law firms and for the Commonwealth Government (Australian Government Solicitor) acting for all levels of government as well as a broad spectrum of private clients.
An experienced practitioner with a wealth of knowledge across many disciplines, Peter set up his own practice in 2013.
Peter joined the board of SOS as Secretary in 2017 and was elevated to Treasurer and Chairman in 2018.
Peter takes a hands-on approach to running the camp, having closely overseen the renovation of the buildings and grounds from 2019 to 2021.

Ellis Wayland
AM RFD ED
Ellis Wayland is the recently retired Chairman having held that office for 23 years.
Ellis is a retired Regional Manager for an international bank as well as the manager of a merchant bank in Singapore.
He has served on the Boards of companies in several Australian States as well as community organisations. He was a Councillor on the Adelaide City Council.
Ellis is a retired Brigadier in the Australian Army Reserve and served in Vietnam. He is a Member of the Order of Australia and has also been awarded the Reserve Forces Decoration (RFD) and the Citizen Military Forces Decoration (ED).

Jason Luccon
Jason is a Chartered Accountant with a degree in Commerce from the University of South Australia.
He is currently a Director of the Tilley and Luccon accounting firm in Adelaide.
Jason joins the SOS Australia board with previous experience in the charity sector having been a financial officer and financial analyst with Anglicare SA Inc.

Pamela Casagrande
Pamela is a prominent member of the Queensland community, both in business and as a committed charity worker. She is a partner and director in her family's engineering firm which has undertaken major infrastructure projects in Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria.
She also owns and operates her own couturier business in Hamilton, Brisbane, under the name of "Frockworks" which has been a corporate member of SOS Australia for many years.
Pamela holds national office in the Military and Hospitaller Order of St Lazarus of Jerusalem - an international ancient Order of Chivalry which supports charities in Australia and internationally. The Order has also been a supporter of SOS-Australia.

Graham Baird
Graham Baird has recently retired from his position as a Vice President of Morgan Stanley Wealth Management.
He joins the SOS Children’s Villages Australia board with the experience of more than 40 years as an investment adviser to corporate and individual clients.
Complementing his corporate experience, Graham served for 30 years in the Australian Army Reserve as a specialist in the Army Pay Corps.
